Edwin Villa is currently an Of Counsel Attorney at Coane and Associates. He graduated Suma Cum Laude with two bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Houston in 2015. In 2018, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston Law Center, receiving a Juris Doctorate degree.
While in law school, Mr. Villa earned membership into the prestigious law school honor societies of The Order of the Barons and The Order of the Coif. Mr. Villa also received a Distinguished Service Award upon graduating from the UHLC because of his extensive work in the school’s Immigration Clinic. He also had the honor of earning an internship with the Hon. Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Prior to his aforementioned education, Mr. Villa had an extensive and successful career as a WWE professional wrestler. From 2000-2013, Mr. Villa was better known as “Fast Eddie Vegas,” and wrestled all over the world. This experience afforded Mr. Villa with the opportunity to meet and work with individuals from different cultures, and actually sparked Mr. Villa’s interest in immigration law. Although Mr. Villa is no longer “slamming” people in the ring, he is still working to slam the opposition in immigration and Federal court proceedings.
